Lancer Evolution Series 2 NX is a PVC free screen printing ink that works like plastisol, thereby offering the ease of use and many other advantages that come from plastisol, but now without any PVC, phthalates, or any other harmful substances.

Evolution 2 NX – A New Breed of PVC Free Screen Printing Ink

A brand new formulation of Evolution, Lancer Group’s phthalate and PVC free screen printing ink now offers various improvements over previous formulations. This includes increased wash fastness, crock-resistance, inter-coat adhesion between colours, and a vastly lower cure temperature.

Lower Cure Temperature

While there are the obvious savings to be made in overall energy usage in the business, a lower cure temperature is also beneficial as an aid to resisting dye migration or “bleed” when printing poly/cotton blends and 100% polyester garments. For particularly awkward polyester fabrics, the Evolution range also offers a grey under base called Defender.

Soft Hand Feel without Drying in the Screen

Evolution PVC free screen printing ink also offers advantages over other PVC and phthalate free ink systems by offering printers a hand-feel similar to water based inks, but with the conveniences normally offered by plastisol ink, including opacity and colour consistency.

High-resolution designs can easily be printed, as stencils will stay open throughout the entire print run. Evolution ink does not air dry and requires a full heat cure.

The Evolution Series 2 NX PVC free ink mixing system yields excellent results in the production of cold peel transfers.

Option 1: NX6551 ColorPro Colour Mixing System

A ready-to-use ink mixing system consisting of 11 components and five Booster Colours for simulating Pantone® or custom shades. 43 - 140T/cm (110 - 355/inch) mesh is recommended. Mesh size should be determined after consideration of artwork and desired end result of decoration.

Option 2: NX6600 Four Colour Process mixing system

To be used only for white and light garments, the NX6600 kit of consists of six components (C,M,Y,K, Optical White and NX 6505 Mixing Base). Low crock additive and Reducer is available separately.

Option 3: Pigment Concentrate to base mixing system

Ideal for high volume users, this system is the most cost effective in the long run. It consists of 26 components and the NX 6504 Mixing base. Available to order - Please Enquire.

Litho Transfer System

The Evolution 2 NX range also incorporates a litho transfer print system that can be used on lithographic presses to produce highly detailed designs. Thanks to the low fusion temperatures used to apply such transfers to the garments, excellent results can also be obtained on most 100% polyester fabrics. Please enquire.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 offers manufacturers across the textile production chain a useful addition to quality assurance, making it easier for buyers to understand crucial information. While the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 does not deal directly with PVC free screen printing inks, manufacturers wanting to be in a position to have their products certified and labeled with the OEKO-TEX® logo, can only use fully compliant substances in the manufacture of products such as garments.

Testing for harmful substances includes: Illegal substances, legally regulated substances, known harmful (but not legally regulated) chemicals as well as parameters for health care. In their entirety the requirements exceed existing legislation and offers the end user confidence in textiles.
